The last time he appeared on our show, Paul Gionfriddo talked about the failures of public health policy in Connecticut and elsewhere. With the Newtown school shooting on all our minds for this show, we invited him back to discuss in more depth both what’s wrong and what can be done. In particular we discussed a proposal requiring a meeting between school, health authorities, and parents in cases where students were being pulled out of school due to behavioral issues.

Fred Johnson, formerly Chaplain of Trinity School, NYC, and Vicar at Church of the Intercession, NYC, now preaches regularly at Church of the Intercession, Fort Lauderdale. I invited him to my home for our first live in-person interview after hearing him eloquently connect the Sunday of Rejoicing with the tragedy of Newtown. Fred described some of his experiences in New York, including personal interaction with Bishop (later Archbishop) Tutu, and then shared an excerpt from that sermon. The full text is available here:
